Duration: 2 Weeks | Meets Saturdays from 9AM - 12PM
Seats: 5

The upcoming session runs  from July 19th - July 26th.

Course Description:

This course introduces students to the cyanotype process—an accessible, non-toxic photographic printing method known for its rich blue tones and unique aesthetic. Originally developed in the 19th century, cyanotype allows for both photographic and cameraless image-making using UV light and chemically treated paper or fabric.

Students will learn how to coat surfaces, create and use digital or physical negatives, and experiment with objects, transparencies, and natural materials to produce one-of-a-kind prints. This course emphasizes hands-on learning, creativity, and exploration of the cyanotype’s versatility on paper and alternative materials.

Perfect for beginners and artists looking to expand their printmaking or photographic practice, this class offers a solid foundation in historical technique while encouraging contemporary, experimental approaches.

No prior experience required.
