Through hands-on demonstrations and guided experimentation with printer, painter and ceramicist Satoko Okuno; participants will learn how to work with oil-based inks, manipulate surfaces, and print by hand or with a press. Emphasis is placed on creativity, mark-making, and developing a personal visual language within the unique possibilities of one-of-a-kind prints.

Open to both beginners and those with experience in other art forms, this course encourages play, discovery, and bold image-making. Students will leave with a strong foundation in monotype techniques and a series of original prints.

This is a beginner course, no prior experience required.
